For cousin craft night this month we made chunky beaded watch bands. There are so many fun beads available, that it makes it hard to choose what to use. I used many different textures and mediums on mine. My color pallet was turquoise blue and brown. My beads were a variety of kiln glazed glass, lampwork glass, Thick blown glass, carved wood, and metal. I love the huge watch face. I used to buy men's watches in high school, just so I could have the larger face.
Cousin Sarah made yummy Chicken Noodle Soup, and Cousin Laura taught us how to make the beaded watch bands. It was a fun night of talking and crafting. I was able to fully participate this time because Matt got home from work early. I was able to talk to other women while crafting and did not have to tell Asher to leave the scissors alone, or tell Abbie to keep her finger and/or carrots out of her nose:) It was bliss!
I can totally foresee this particular craft, becoming habit forming:)
